Jumping rope : the fun and effective cardio alternative

Jumping rope is often underestimated… Yet, it is one of the most powerful tools in sports coaching to quickly improve cardio , coordination, agility and calorie expenditure . Does anyone remember how fun it was to be able to do it when we were kids? As an alternative to running, it allows you to work the body in a polyarticular way , using the legs, arms, abs, back and cardio-respiratory system at the same time.


In my personal training sessions in Saint-Tropez , I incorporate skipping rope in HIIT format , as an active warm-up or as main cardio. Its advantage? It is fun, intense, and can be done anywhere, in a short time. In 10 to 15 well-structured minutes, you can burn as many calories as in 30 minutes of jogging. It also improves bone density , posture and balance.


Another advantage: its effect on fine motor skills , responsiveness, and the ability to stay focused. An ideal tool for those who want fun, effective, and stress-free cardio. My role as a coach is to make it a technical, rhythmic moment, but always adapted to your level and your needs.
